Book of Ruth Study

Join Rev. Douglas Herlong for a study of the Book of Ruth Tuesdays, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. Together, we’ll explore this short but powerful Old Testament story and discover how ordinary acts of faithfulness can become part of God’s larger work of redemption. Please register here.

Wednesday Night Supper, October 7, 2026

Youth Rooted Retreat

It's time to register for the Youth Rooted Retreat!

This fall, we'll be participating in the Rooted Retreat hosted by our UMC Conference the weekend of November 6-8. This weekend will be a fun time of worship, connection, play, growth, and fun!

And, we recently learned that Camp Glisson is full with a waitlist for this event! Because of this, we want to remind everyone to register early if you plan to go, so we know we have enough spots reserved for our students.

You also get $50 off the total cost if you register by September 30th. Registration closes October 15th.

If you would like to chaperone, please let me know! We'll need a couple adults to come along who want to spend a nice fall weekend in Dahlonega with us.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is coming up at Haygood Memorial UMC, Sunday, October 25 from 4-5:30 PM, and we need your help to make this event a success! Please sign up below to decorate your car trunk and bring candy to pass out to our kids. Please arrive by 3:45 (or earlier) ready to go! Dinner will be available for the event as well. Awards will be given out this year for "Most Creative Trunk," "The Minimalist Award" and "Overall Favorite" trunk. Thank you for your participation!

Children's Sunday School

*NEW THIS YEAR: MORNING ROUND UP

We start off with a gathering in the gym for everyone, 3 years through 5th grade from 9:45-10:05 am for a “morning round up” before heading off to classes.

Classes are each week (except for special mornings and holidays) for 3-K (Room 101), 1st-2nd (Preschool Library off of the gym; next to 105, and 3rd-5th (Room 105) through November 8.

The Fall Sunday School schedule is as follows:

UNIT 2: GOD CARES FOR US

·    October 4: God's Instruction and Care (Exodus 19:1-20:21)

·    October 11: Fall Break--No Class

·    October 18: God Cares for Us Always (Jeremiah 29:11-14)

·    October 25: Children's Sunday--No Class

UNIT 3: GOD HELPS US FACE CHALLENGES

·    November 1: Joshua's Bravery (Deuteronomy 31:1-8; Joshua 1:1-9)

·    November 8: Daniel Faces the Lions (Daniel 6:1-28)

Adult Sunday School
