We are excited to announce that on Monday, November 1st, new LED light fixtures will be installed over the fitness floor, track, and basketball court. In addition, new ceiling fans will be installed over the fitness floor, basketball court, and tennis courts. This work will be completed after club hours.

Group Fitness Weather Policy
|
Spinning and Upper/Lower classes will be scheduled outside, but will come inside when the temperature is below 45 degrees or it is wet/raining.
Bootcamp, Surge Fit, and Muscle Max & Cardio will be scheduled for outdoors and will come inside when the temperature is below 35 degrees or it is wet/raining.
Registration is required for all classes, and is open 2-days in advance of each class through the Liberty Mobile App or Online Services. Classes are subject to change.

Small Group High Intensity Classes

Our small group training classes integrate the expertise of Liberty’s trainers with the enthusiasm and accountability of exercising in a group environment.
HIIT30 Ages 15-up
Tuesdays & Thursdays
6-6:30pm
For those short on time, but still want a complete workout, this shortened version of the HIIT60 class combines an extensive range of fitness components; strength, endurance, power, flexibility, agility, and balance. Delivering a highly effective workout designed to improve comprehensive fitness and body composition in only 30 minutes.
HIIT60 Ages 15-up
Tuesdays & Thursdays
9:30-10:30am
Saturdays
10-11am
HIIT60 combines an extensive range of fitness components: strength, endurance, power, flexibility, agility and balance using a variety functional equipment to deliver the most challenging workout on our schedule. Suited for moderate to high levels of fitness, this class includes running and jumping on hard surfaces.

The Lagoon pool will be closed Thursday, October 28th for necessary maintenance work. We will reopen the area on Friday, October 29th.
Indoor Lifeguarding will not be held this weekend due to Halloween. Please join us for future Sundays from 12-4pm when the water features and slide are on and the pools are well-supervised by our certified lifeguards.

Grab and Go
The café will remain "Grab and Go" during all remaining hours the club is open. Please stop by the front desk to purchase your café items.
All café hours are subject to change to meet the member experience.

It's great to see the tremendous energy and enthusiasm on the tennis courts! League matches have begun, and our B1, B2 and B3 teams have all posted wins to start the season. Combo teams captained by Jennifer Sauld and Jessica Haessler have won their local flights and are advancing to playoffs. Junior Team tennis matches for ages 10-14 will be starting soon. In short, we're off to a great start this indoor season and I anticipate a busy fall and winter. Looking forward to seeing you on the courts!

If you are interested in learning more about Adaptive Tennis, Liberty Athletic Club and the USTA/Southeastern Michigan District have partnered to offer a free Train The Trainer Clinic and Play Day on November 20th. This is a great opportunity to learn from a professionally trained and certified teacher and coach, Jamie Oppenlander. You can learn tips and tricks, activities, games, and more to take back to your own tennis program, gym class, or community program.
Following the Train the Trainer Clinic, we are also offering a free Adaptive Tennis Play Day for students and coaches to attend and play some tennis. The Play Day is also a great way for tennis providers to learn how to put adaptive tennis into action on court or modified gym. Please share the attached flyer with any colleagues, friends, or students that you think might be interested in participating.

Universal Tennis (UTR) Flex League
November 2nd - December 6th
Universal Tennis Singles & Doubles Flex Leagues are now available for Adult & Junior players in Ann Arbor. This is a great way to get competitive matches, meet new players, and improve your game!
Register to be paired with local opponents to play 4 verified UTR matches over 5 weeks! Find new level-based competitors, stay local, and schedule matches when and where you want!
Players will be divided into groups based on their location and UTR Rating (or NTRP/USTA equivalent rating).
All Division Winners will receive a Champions Prize!

Co-Ed Adult Social Tennis 2.5-3.0
Want to play more tennis and gain matchplay skills? Join us on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:00am. Social Tennis is a great opportunity to develop matchplay skills and meet new players! Appropriate for players at the 2.5-3.0 skill level. The format will be Round Robin Doubles, giving you a chance to play with a variety of different players. Odd number of players registered? No problem, we will rotate players in or have a self feeding drill court where we can work on matchplay skills.

Tri-Level District Playoffs
Two Liberty tennis teams competed in the Division 1 & 2 USTA Tri-Level playoffs this past weekend at Franklin Athletic Club. The Division 1 flight plays 3 courts at the USTA 4.5, 4.0 and 3.5 levels. The Liberty Division 1 Team, captained by Jennifer Sauld, beat Franklin Athletic Club 2-1 to win the the District Title! They will advance to Midwest Playoffs the weekend of November 19th. The Division 2 flight plays 3 courts at the USTA 3.5, 3.0 and 2.5 levels. The Liberty Division 2 Team, captained by Jessica Haessler, beat Franklin Athletic Club on all 3 courts to win the District Title! Unfortunately, Division 2 Tri-Level teams do not have advancement opportunities past District playoffs. Great playing everyone and way to beat Franklin Athletic Club on their home courts!

Front Desk Associate- Fielding and handling questions and concerns as they pertain to all areas of the club.
Female Locker Room Attendant –Responsibilities include cleaning and organizing locker rooms and common area facilities, maintaining the laundry flow, and light cleaning tasks. Daytime, evening, and weekend opportunities available.
Fitness Floor First Responder- Handles all club-wide emergencies and keeps all areas of the fitness floor clean and organized. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required. Weekend and evening opportunities available.
Director of Membership Sales- Full-time position maintaining the business plan and marketing strategies to increase membership retention, membership sales, and drive revenue.
Child Care Attendant- Provide care for children from infants- 8 years old in a safe, healthy, and fun environment! This is a part-time position that would benefit those studying education/early childhood development. Weekday (daytime) and weekend opportunities available.
Certified Massage Therapist- Provide high-quality services and promote whole body health and well-being.
Maintenance Attendant- Full-time position with evening and weekend shifts handling mechanical repairs, pool maintenance, and general maintenance repairs.
Certified Tennis Professional- Have coaching experience including adults, teams, and junior development. USTPA or PTR Certification. Possess an NTRP rating of 4.0 or higher and, preferably, has collegiate playing experience.
Certified Lifeguards and Swim Instructors – Lifeguarding on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 4pm. Swim lessons on Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings- can be booked around your schedule.
All positions provide a complimentary membership to the club and a 25% discount on services in the Café and Personal Training when working a minimum of two shifts per week.
