21-Day Wellness Challenge
February 1 - February 21
In a time of uncertainty and disrupted routines, exercise, nutrition, and stress management are vital components in staying well. For nearly five decades, Liberty Athletic Club has been a haven for both members and staff to take a break from the challenges and stress of the outside world and be uplifted by the positive community of people dedicated to improving their well-being. We may not be able to connect in person as we have in the past, but we will continue to deliver portions of our unique and supportive community through a variety of new and traditional offerings. We hope to help you maintain a daily wellness routine during this time with a simple 21-day challenge. Challenge begins Monday, February 1, 2021.
Here's How:
  • Complete one item every day from any of the three categories: Exercise, Nutrition, and Mindfulness.

  • You must complete at least three items from each category during the 21 days.

  • Take a photo or e-mail a copy of your completed 21-day challenge form to by Thursday, February 25th.

  • Those who complete the challenge will be entered to win a free month membership for a friend, a custom Liberty Athletic Club water bottle and drawstring backpack. There will be three winners chosen.
Little Max Learns How to Swim!
"Today our son Max had his very first swim lesson. It went great! He was very happy and the entire experience was rather nostalgic for me. Some 25+ years ago my mother brought my sister and I to Liberty to learn how to swim. I believe my instructors name was Kim and I can still remember her helping to support my upper back as I learned the backstroke.

Thank you for your years of dedication to a quality, safe and fun facility."

~ Meghan Armstrong

Swim Director, Marie Bondie, was instrumental in teaching Liberty member Max his very first swim lesson. Thank you Marie for being helpful and making his first lesson a positive experience!
Meet New Group Fitness Instructor Libby Squires
"I am a new group fitness instructor teaching Surge Fit. I moved to Ann Arbor with my husband and two kids about a year and a half ago for my husband’s residency training at the University of Michigan. I love all things exercise and wellness and am excited to meet and get to know the members here at Liberty!"
Meet New Tennis Pro
Winnie Karoub
"Hi there, I'm Winnie Karoub. I am thrilled to join the Liberty family as the newest tennis instructor. I grew up in Farmington Hills surrounded by a family of tennis players and tennis lovers. I began competing in national USTA tournaments at age 10. Later on, I attended Mercy High School, where I played #1 Singles for the varsity tennis team. Most recently, I played Club Tennis for the University of Michigan, and I am a proud Wolverine. I have been coaching tennis for years, and find it extremely rewarding to work with students of every age group and skill level. When working with students, my top priority is to perfect the foundations that create excellent tennis players. I view each student as a completely unique individual and adapt my teaching style to fit the needs of each player. I look forward to seeing you and your families around the club!"
