Support the GYMS Act!
The mission of the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) is to grow, protect, and promote the health and fitness industry, and to provide its members with the benefits that will help them be more successful. IHRSA and its members (health clubs and fitness facilities, gyms, spas, sports clubs, and industry partners) are dedicated to make the world healthier through regular exercise.
Liberty Athletic Club is a participating member of the IHRSA network of clubs.

Pre-pandemic, the more than three million U.S. fitness professionals helped upwards of 73 million Americans get and stay healthy through exercise. The fitness industry plays a central and essential role in promoting and maintaining mental, physical and social health and well-being. Now, it has been almost a year since COVID-19 rocked the health and fitness industry. The GYMS Act will create a $30 billion grant program to provide direct assistance to America’s health and fitness clubs.
We have our champions in Congress. Now we have to help them by asking YOUR members of Congress to co-sponsor the GYMS Act TODAY!

Meet Personal Trainer
Jermaine Givens

Jermaine has been working with clients and athletes at Liberty Athletic Club for the past 7 years and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Jermaine feels the most rewarding part of his job is meeting people, hearing their stories, and helping them accomplish their fitness goals.
Jermaine was born and raised in Detroit and then moved to Pinckney at the age of 12. He attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo receiving a B.B.A. in Business Management. Jermaine worked as a Logistics Analyst for several years but found that the traditional corporate world was not for him. He has always been passionate about being fit and decided to turn that passion into a career by becoming a personal trainer. Jermaine loves the gym atmosphere, comfortable clothes, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and spending time working out. Most people do not know that Jermaine is a self-proclaimed neat freak, likes to play basketball and enjoys cooking. When he is not working, he is happiest being with his family. Jermaine now lives in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area with his wife Angela, and two sons Isaiah, 5 years old and Andre, 2 years old. His smile is contagious, and he is a positive and motivating trainer to be around. We are fortunate to have Jermaine here at Liberty Athletic Club!
