School Supply Drive
Terrie was introduced to Anthony from Henry Schein Inc. through another nonprofit, and she reached out to learn more about their donation process. Anthony shared that Henry Schein’s guiding principle is “Doing Well by Doing Good.” In 1996, the company launched its Back to School program, which has since grown to provide approximately 5,200 filled backpacks annually to children in need across multiple countries. Locally, 400 of those are distributed right here on Long Island.
Thanks to the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, we were able to support children from several Long Island hospital systems who need school supplies and a fresh start for the school year. Their generous donation included multiple boxes of backpacks and essential supplies.
We are incredibly grateful to Henry Schein for supporting the Michael Magro Foundation’s annual School Supply Drive. Their contribution helps ensure that children in our community start the school year ready to learn, grow, and thrive.
The MMF Back to School campaign is officially underway! Over the next few weeks, we’re collecting school supplies, with a focus on character backpacks, for elementary school-aged children in our community.
