One Week Until Giving Tuesday

At the Michael Magro Foundation, we meet families on some of the hardest days of their lives. Children are facing long hospital stays. Parents are trying to stay strong while quietly wondering how they’ll make it through.

Your Giving Tuesday gift can bring comfort, relief, and hope when it’s needed most.

Here’s how your support makes an immediate difference:

• $33 – Two distraction bags filled with toys and games
• $50 – Essential vitamins for kids undergoing chemotherapy
• $75 – Pajamas or underwear for hospitalized children and young adults
• $100 – A DoorDash gift card for exhausted parents
• $250 – Gas or Uber cards to get families to treatment
• $500 – One year of sperm storage for young patients
• $1,000 – Prevents eviction or utility shut-offs for families in crisis

TIP: Many employers match donations. Ask your company and then your gift could go twice as far!

NY Islanders: Hockey with a Heart

On November 5th, the Hockey with a Heart game was one to remember!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of fans and supporters, the 50/50 raffle raised an amazing $6,400 to benefit the Michael Magro Foundation, helping us continue our mission of supporting children battling cancer and their families.

We were also honored to send two families currently facing pediatric cancer to enjoy the game and a much-needed night of fun. One parent shared: “We want to express our deepest gratitude for the tickets. My daughter Abigail is having a wonderful time. It is so good to see her smiling again.”

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to the New York Islanders, the Islanders Children’s Foundation, and every fan who participated in the 50/50 raffle. Your kindness makes a difference!

On Thursday, December 4th, Terrie Magro will be at J.Crew from 4:30–6:30 PM, greeting supporters, spreading holiday cheer, and helping raise funds for families facing pediatric cancer.
