Spectators and players all enjoyed the sounds of DJ Geoffery of GEM Entertainment who donates his time and talent each year to add another dimension to the event.
A big thank you to our sponsors this year Peppercorns Restaurant in Hicksville, Bulovas Restorations Inc. for donating all the T-shirts, and Nunzi's Restaurant in Farmingdale for sponsoring and entering a team! In addition, we had donations from Rick Lewis, TJ and Kim Costa, and St. Rose of Lima CYO.
Snacks and beverages were donated by Herr’s Foods, Montauk Iced Tea, Uncle Wally’s muffins, and homemade baked goods by St. Williams School.
Extra special shout out to Thomas Cook, athletic coach at LuHi for donating the event space and their excellent staff who were with us all day overseeing the details that made the event a success.
Julia and her team for keeping score, referees, and of course our co-chairs; Ed Hebron and Jimmy Montana of MDP Lacrosse.
Our volunteers Kristine, Patty, and Cathy for registration and raffle basket sales. It takes a village to execute a seamless event and I am honored to have all these wonderful people as part of the Michael Magro Foundation family. Thank you to all our players and supporters, everyone’s time and dedication to the cause helped to raise $5,450 at this event.
The after-party at Peppercorn’s restaurant in Hicksville was a great addition to the day. Many players and staff joined us to celebrate the day and toast our success. The funds raised help families of children diagnosed with cancer to pay household expenses, rent, mortgage, parking at the hospitals and so much more.
