We're excited to join the Walk for Water! We're proud to help Path From Poverty provide clean, safe water to women and families in rural Kenya. If you want to walk with us, go here to sign-up: https://charity.pledgeit.org/t/zoXbmSYTco

Sign-ups are $50 per person, which goes to buy water collection tanks for women and families.

We will gather at 9am on May 13th and walk from Northminster to Our Redeemers Church for the E-cycle event.

A Concert Opportunity from Jen Jensen

The Northwest Chorale, directed by Lynn Hall, will present its spring concert this May featuring Schubert’s Mass No 5 in A Flat Major with the original extended fugue in the Gloria.  The performances will be Saturday May 13th at 4pm at Woodinville Community Church, 17110 140th Ave NE Woodinville, and Saturday May 20th at 4pm at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St. Edmonds. Admission is complimentary and a free will offering will be taken to benefit Northwest Harvest. Our soloists will be Catherine Haight, soprano, Sharon Buck, alto, Stephen Rumph, tenor, and David Wadden, bass. While broad mask mandates have been lifted, we encourage audience members to wear masks to help protect the health of their fellow attendees. The choir will be singing in masks.

One of Schubert’s late masses, this fabulous work is not performed as often as deserved. It is rich with exquisite settings of the text, showcasing Schubert’s mature skills as a composer and rich with interplay among the choir, orchestra, and soloists. Schubert took some freedoms with the traditional Mass text, adding and removing certain phrases in order to deepen the musical expression or enhance a particular meaning.  Opening the concert will be three beautiful shorter works including Song of the Wanderer by Dan Forrest, The Road Home by Stephen Paulus, and the beloved Brahms Motet Schafe in Mir, Gott

Please come and help us celebrate this season of love and renewal by helping to feed those in need. Packing a lot of beautiful music into a relatively short concert, it is a perfect outing for the family or for a Mother’s Day weekend event. For additional information, please visit our website www.nwchorale.org or call 206-696-1222.
