It's time to celebrate another New Year, and there's no better way to start it than with a special time of prayer and fasting.
Fasting in scripture is often done when God's people desire to focus on God's voice by removing temporal comforts.
We fast from the good things God has given us (food, drink, etc.) to focus on prayer, and as an expression of compassion and love for those who are suffering.
While you are fasting, I want to encourage you to pray for someone that you would like to invite to Harvest Sunday on January 15th to hear the gospel preached by Brother Brian Fossett.
God bless you and I look forward to talking this spritual journey with you.
"Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?"
Isaiah 58:6
