We're trying to gauge interest in offering some tabletop game programs at the library. If you're interested, we'd appreciate you filling out this simple survey to offer us guidance.

Those wonderful people we call The Friends of PML are making books available for free. Check out the cart to the right of the entrance. (We'll bring it inside in inclement weather). The books will come and go regularly, so keep checking back to see what's there.

Introducing a new walking group
Thursdays at 11 a.m., beginning June 9
No registration required. Starting point: PML
Join us for a 45- to 60-minute walk along a route near the library. We'll enjoy each other's company while getting some exercise. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water and rainwear if necessary. All ages and all levels are welcome.

Pieces That don't Fit in Maine's Ecological Puzzle

What makes a terrestrial plant invasive and what are the impacts of those plants on Maine’s ecology and economy?
Gary Fish, Maine's state horticulturist, will provide information on the current terrestrial plants on the do-not-sell list and the latest effort to expand that list from 33 plants to 63. Appropriate alternative plants will be discussed and many plant choice resources will be provided, especially those which
help gardeners add native plants
to their landscapes.

We're hosting a Bike Rodeo!
Bike safety made fun
Saturday, June 11, 10 a.m. to noon
At the Greely Middle School parking lot
No registration required.
Best for ages 3 to 11, but all ages are welcome.

Bring your kids and your bikes to the Greely Middle School parking lot for this fun event designed to teach and encourage kids to ride bikes safely.
Bicycle Coalition of Maine will be on hand to offer helmet and bike mechanical checks, and they'll lay out a course on the Greely Middle School Parking Lot for kids to test their bike safety skills with simulated stop signs, crosswalks ... the works.
Caregivers can bring their bikes, too, because bike safety is an important family conversation.

At 1 p.m.: Annegret Baier, hand drummer and percussionist, who plays and sings traditional West African rhythms and songs on original African-made instruments, such as the djembe, kpanlogo, balafon, and kalimba. An engaging performance for all ages.

The (adorable) Bella Vespa food truck will be here with free gelato and sorbetto treats for all ages (while supplies last).

Baby & Toddler Hangouts
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
10 a.m. Age 0-3.
No registration required.
| Kids ages 0-3 and caregivers, come hang out in our activity room and enjoy all it has to offer. We have a play kitchen, dolls, puzzles, Duplos, a sensory table, and an art station. So much to do! This is a low-key time for both kids and caregivers to socialize and connect. | |
Outdoor Storytime
Ages 0–2: Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Ages 3–5: Tuesdays at 11 a.m.
Outside on the back lawn of the library

| Storytimes are outside on Tuesday mornings. Stories, rhymes, fingerplays and songs for busy Little People. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on. If you're questioning the weather, we'll post cancellation information by 9 a.m. on our Youth Services Facebook page and on our website. | |

The Friends of Prince Memorial Library holds a book sale all year in the hallway to the right of the circulation desk. Great books (like new!) and puzzles for super low prices. We are always restocking the shelves, so stop by frequently. Proceeds benefit programming at Prince Memorial Library.

Accepting donations of books, DVDs, and puzzles
The Friends of PML gladly accepts donations of gently used books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles (up to 2 small boxes or 2 shopping bags at a time), which are in good to excellent condition. Items for all ages are welcome.
The following are not accepted: Encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks, Bibles, VHS Tapes, outdated self-help or medical advice books, reference, technology or computer books, books which are written in, torn, moldy, musty, water or smoke damaged.
Please do not place donations in the Book Drop as space is limited for patrons' items. Bring donations into the library.
