DECEMBER 2023

The year is coming to a close and Londoners are getting ready to celebrate the holidays with us at RBC Place London.

December started with a roar at the jungle-themed Children's Magical Winter Ball in support of the Children's Health Foundation! Scroll down to see how our halls and ballroom were transformed into a lush rainforest to the delight of our young guests!

Still to come this month is our annual Holiday Open House hosted with London Economic Development Corporation and London Small Business Centre and Showdown in the Downtown raising funds to "Knock out" Kidney Disease. On top of that, we'll host 11 holiday galas and end-of-year company parties. These events represent almost 5000 guests celebrating in our building this month!

CHILDREN'S MAGICAL WINTER BALL

DECEMBER 1

Presented by the Legatte-Wolfe Family, the Children's Magical Ball is London's only family-friendly black-tie event! This one-of-a-kind evening featured extravagant silent auction items, dinner and exciting surprises around every corner.

Filled with family-friendly activities, crafts, and entertainment, this sold-out event encourages families to support paediatric patients who access the Child Life Program at Children's Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.

The LEDC in partnership with RBC Place London and the Small Business Centre is inviting you to come together to network and show your appreciation and support for our local food and beverage vendors. MADE IN LONDON holiday open house has over 30 local food & beverage vendors to explore and excite your holiday pleasures.

SHOWDOWN IN THE DOWNTOWN

DECEMBER 15

Showdown In The Downtown is an evening of fundraising to fight kidney disease and improve patient outcomes after solid organ transplantation. The event simulates a Las Vegas like atmosphere with food, drink and an amazing silent auction. Over 14 years, the Showdown has raised over $2.85 million for a variety of charities.

The Gallery: Meet Byungjin Choi, the Artist behind the Maehwa (매화), Plum Blossom Exhibition

The Gallery In response to demand from local artists for exhibition space and to promote and celebrate our talented local artists, the London Arts Council and the City of London Culture Services have collaborated with RBC Place London to pilot The Gallery program at RBC Place London as part of our London Arts Live (LAL) program offerings.

DOWNTOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS

It will be a December to remember in London, Ontario with large-scale events including the Holly Jolly Holiday Market and New Year’s Eve in the Park as well as free festive programming such as a horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday trails and musical performances, a scavenger hunt and more!
