2025 Graduates

We’d like to recognize this milestone in the life of our graduates! Please complete the Graduation 2025 Form in St. Paul’s Hub. Names and photos will be shared in at the 10:00 AM worship service on Sunday, June 8th, and in an upcoming issue of The Messenger. Please complete the form by Friday, May 23rd.

Financial Report

Through the first quarter of 2025, St. Paul’s income was 27.6% of our budget at $239,834, just over the 25% budget for the quarter. Expenses were $224,009, just at the budgeted amount. Designated benevolence income, including the Good Sam Fund and all local, state, and national causes, was $23,770. Summer Schedule Change

Beginning Sunday, June 1st, we will change our weekly worship schedule for the summer, moving to one service each week, with communion, at 10:00 AM. We feel that this will be a great way for us to be together in a different way during the summer months, and continue to meet people and make new relationships. We will resume our two-service schedule on Sunday, August 24th.

Spring Cleaning? Donate to the Free Yard Sale for PSU Students!

Before we know it, students will be arriving, and we'd love to help them make their new dorm or apartment feel more like home. For two years, we’ve hosted free yard sales and they’ve been smashing successes because of your generosity. Maybe you have items collecting dust that could benefit a student? If so, these are the donations we're looking for:

• Hangers, storage bins/baskets, organizer bins, cleaning supplies, indoor garbage cans
• Toaster, blender, small appliances, pots/pans, utensils, dishes, mugs, glasses, flatware, food storage containers, dish towels/clothes
• Rugs, curtains, Christmas lights (small bulbs)
• Shower curtains/rings, bath mats, towels, or hand towels
• No clothing; only items in good, working condition

Support St. Paul's Shoe Bank through Centre Gives!

St. Paul’s Shoe Bank is participating in Centre Gives on Wednesday, May 14th, and Thursday, May 15th. This online giving event is the Shoe Bank's main source of revenue. This year there is a larger stretch pool ($500,000), which means the more that is donated, the more additional monies we will receive. Follow our St. Paul’s Shoe Bank Facebook page for updates! Help Plant the Church Flower Beds

We're planting flowers around the church on Pentecost Sunday, June 8th. Dress down and stick around to help set out plants, dig, plant, or water after you attend church (both services). Many hands make light work and happy hearts as we add beauty to our downtown community.

Summer of Wonder: Beyond the Walls of St. Paul's

We are excited to be planning a series of meet-ups this summer for our children, youth, and any member that would like to join in! Summer of Wonder: Beyond the Walls of St. Paul's will allow us to continue many of the same and beloved themes/activities from VBS while also broadening out into more flexible learning environments and emphasizing building relationships across all age groups within our congregation and the broader State College community. Right now we are in the planning phases and are hoping to gather more information from our families and members.
