Meals for Out of the Cold Centre County (OOTC)

St. Paul’s UMC will host at Out of the Cold, located at 318 S. Atherton Street, from Monday, April 28th, through Sunday, May 4th. We are looking for volunteers to bring breakfast, dinner, supplies, or to be an evening host. Breakfast should serve around 20 guests and can be dropped off the night before or the morning of your sign-up date. Dinners should be ready-to-serve around 20 guests and can be dropped off at the shelter around 6:00 PM on the sign-up date. Hosts can arrive at the shelter around 6:00 PM for an opportunity to fellowship with guests. Click here for more details and to volunteer. Hosting, providing a meal, or donating supplies are great ways to continue St. Paul’s ministry to the homeless in our area!

Pride Parade

St. Paul’s will be participating in State College Pride again this year on Saturday, June 7th! Thanks to a donation from SPYF, we will have a vehicle and up to 30 marchers in the parade, as well as a table at the festival. We’d like you to be involved! To coordinate things this year, we’ve created a sign up here. Help us show our support for our LGBTQ+ neighbors! If you have questions, please email Caitlin McAlister at library@stpaulsc.org.

Collecting Items for Mission Central Activity Kits

Mission Central has a goal of assembling 1,000 School Activity Kits during this year’s Susquehanna Annual Conference (May 29-31). Churches in our district have been asked to provide blue or black ink pens and erasers for the kits. Mission Central is also seeking sewers throughout the conference to construct simple tote bags using the Activity Kit Bag Pattern. Please place all donations (pens, erasers, bags) in the box in the Calder Way entrance by Sunday, May 25th. If you have questions, email Debbie Harwell at djph19@outlook.com.
