Now we can share some fun things that we do to celebrate the holidays. A tradition at the Inn is the stockings. Each year every employee hangs a stocking as part of our lobby decorations. Then, mysteriously, these are filled - and on Christmas Eve, after the Christmas Eve dinner, the stockings are enjoyed...and treats often include notes left by our guests and fellow employees. It's become a lovely part of the season.

|
Our Community Gives Back...
We also have a wishing tree - and this year every tag was taken and every wish fulfilled quite early. We thought you might like to see the unwrapped gifts left for these local girls & boys...including a GIANT bear and a little one too.

Tomorrow would have been my Mom's 92nd Birthday...and she enjoyed these little newsletters - always called and talked about them with me. So, here's a fond memory to her this week and as you celebrate this special season of the Winter Solstice and the joys of the holiday, may you find peace on the planet and joy with your friends and family. We hope that 2018 will include time at The Resort at Port Ludlow - sharing the beauty of this special place on earth.

Holiday Fun
This time of year is one of our favorites around the Marina. People
really get into the spirit of the Holidays by decorating their own vessels. This in turn helps the rest of us soak in the season and appreciate the simple things that make us smile.
Whether it's an eight foot dingy with a single string of lights; a 40 foot cruising yacht that has lights that synchronize twinkling with a Holiday song; or a crab boat that hosts "Santa Claws", we appreciate all those who contribute to making the season bright in Port Ludlow.

Congratulations to Camaraderie Cellars
Camaraderie WINS at the Jefferson Cup Invitational
Camaraderie scored very well at the Jefferson Cup Invitational judging, one of the most prestigious competitions in the US. All four wines submitted earned Gold or Silver medals and we are especially proud of the Double Gold earned for "Confluence," the wine blended for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation.
Only about five percent of all wines earned Double Gold and "Confluence" was one of just two from Washington State wineries.
If you have not been to the winery in Port Angeles, you are in for a treat - and they have a remarkable wine club too. Of course, you can enjoy some of their wonderful wines at The Fireside.
