Meet the Artist AUGUST 4 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Sarah S. Thompson

Paintings and Assemblage

Sarah’s current work mixes watercolors, acrylics and assemblage. Paintings of animals and landscapes inspired by the Northwoods are combined with found objects of historical meaning to create sculptural and semi-sculptural art. Her work is unique and stirs nostalgia for a time gone by.

"Chip Duncan Presents"

Appearing August 4th, 7PM. Documentary and discussion.

For 35 years the Duncan Entertainment Group in Milwaukee has been an independent media company with a background in broadcast journalism, conservation, history and social issue programming. Chip – an American filmmaker, author, and photographer – is the president. He is known principally for his documentaries on history, current affairs, travel and natural history. He has interviewed several US presidents for television and has also produced feature films, including “Eden,” nominated for the 1996 grand jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

Chip has been a tremendous friend to TLCFA and brings us a new production every year! This year his “not quite finished” documentary is on the LOOP radio station in Chicago. “Don’t Cross the Line” tells the story of the rise and fall of America’s greatest radio station. There are many fascinating interviews of famous folks who don’t hold back and use some colorful language. (May want to leave kids at home) It’s raw…but very interesting with Danny Bonaduce, Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Dahl and lots more!

Tickets ~ Adults- $20

IT'S BABY SEASON!

Whether you live in or near the woods or on an urban street, now is the time of the year we are sharing the space with our wild neighbors.

It could be rabbits in a planter, birds nesting in the garage or a fawn under the slide at the local playground. We can all learn to live together.

If you see a wild animal you that you think may need help, CALL US FIRST before doing anything. We can talk you through the situation. We answer the phone 24/7. What you are seeing may be normal. Let's be good neighbors and keep families together!
