Cody Library News
Join the Cody, Park County Library as we celebrate National Library Week on April 4-10, 2021. National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

At the Cody Library, we will be celebrating with a few fun activities for our patrons. There will be daily library trivia for patrons to win a prize, there will be a fortune jar at the Circulation Desk, and we'll end the week with Ron Everhart's Slideshow of the Beartooth Mountains. You can read more about Ron Everhart's program below.

Stop by the Cody Library this month to help us celebrate libraries and community literacy.
Our Website Has a New Look
Check out our new look at parkcountylibrary.org!

We have been working hard to bring you a new website layout that is hopefully more user friendly.

There will be a few bugs to work out as we learn to navigate the new system and we are still working on a "Local Events" section that will have all of the upcoming events and programs for each library in an easier-to-read fashion.
Ron Everhart's Slideshow of the Beartooth Mountains
On Saturday, April 10, the Cody Library will be welcoming back photographer, Ron Everhart at 2 p.m. in Grizzly Hall.

Everhart was scheduled to present his “Photos of the Beartooth Mountains” slideshow last year before the lockdown began and the library had to cancel all of its programs.

Over the last three years, Everhart traveled to the Beartooth Mountains fifteen times. He will share images of flora and dramatic landscapes from his excursions.

This event is free and open to the public.
D.E.A.R
D.E.A.R. stands for Drop Everything and Read. It's when any person can read and enjoy the books they want, just for the pleasure of reading and with no questions asked!

The concept of "Drop Everything and Read" is referenced in the second chapter of Ramona Quimby, Age 8, written by author, Beverly Cleary.

On April 12, the Cody Library encourages readers to take at least 30 minutes to put aside all distractions and enjoy books together.

We also encourage you to share your experience with us on social media.
