Cabaret
February 10 - February 26
Fridays & Saturdays | 7:30 PM | $35
Sundays | 3:00 PM | $35
|
In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920's draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee's bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin's natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally's boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish. Musical numbers include "Willkommen," "Cabaret," "Don't Tell Mama" and "Two Ladies." Music by John Kander, Lyrics by Fred Ebb

North Circular
Sunday, February 19 | 7:00 PM
$10 Single Ticket | $8 Students
|
A fascinating window into life in Dublin, North Circular is a documentary musical traveling the length of the city’s fabled North Circular Road. Exploring the history, music and streetscapes of a thoroughfare that links some of the country’s most beloved and infamous places, the film combines powerful stories of local life in the neighborhoods along the road and the brilliant music these lives have produced. A moving portrait filled with gorgeous cinematography, North Circular conjures the ghosts of the past while engaging with the conflicts and celebrations of today, with a little bit of Dublin humor thrown in.
