NEW EXHIBITS

JESSIE WILBUR GALLERY

INITIAL CONDITIONS

by Eric Rannestad

Initial Conditions consists of two conceptually similar, but materially different, series of work. Brought together for the first time, these paintings and sculptural installations speculate on the future infrastructure of the built environment and explore the human (in)ability to model and control complex natural systems.

TINY BOX WORLD SERIES

A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM

by Kate Huston

Always having a fascination with the spiritual world of nature and mysterious musings of fantasy worlds created during the Victorian era, I began to explore my art with collage boxes made of found objects at The Museum School of Fine Arts, Boston in 1995. 20 years in the making, I present this collection of Tiny Box Worlds Series where imagination, spirituality and nature collide to create a world of musings and respite from daily existence.

AND OTHER WORKS

by Kerri Rosenstein

Each group of work in this exhibition follows an inquiry of infinite possibilities – an ongoing process of responding to impermanence, interdependence, and fine lines between inner and outer experience. I am drawn to repetitive motion and the cyclic nature of things without distinct beginning and end. A temperament of generosity and intimacy informs the work with a sense of going-on-ness.
