| | JANUARY GEMINI POOL UPDATE | | |
Happy New Year! We’re a few months away from completion and our staff is working diligently behind the scenes developing plans for staffing, policies, procedures, and program schedules.
The majority of the base work for the Competition Pool is complete. The pool deck concrete has been poured and will soon be ready for tile work. When finished with all of the base work, contractors will close the south curtain wall and begin to focus on getting all of the Leisure Pool base work completed. Backfill of gravel and grading will continue in the Leisure Pool. We will also see concrete poured in the Leisure Pool soon.
The weather is delaying the completion of the Community Rooms roof and the skylight replacement. Due to this, we have opened the West Entrance near the library lot for our patrons who park in that lot. We’re hoping to see some progress soon on these two items. A crane is scheduled to be onsite this month to lift and place the remaining roof top units and our new Pool Air Handling Units. Once all are installed, we will be able to regulate the temperatures within the building much better. Thanks for your patience with us on the colder than desired temperatures.
As always, safety of our patrons and staff is our number one concern and we appreciate your understanding with all of the changes in our schedules and operations.
