Exploring Our Planet Lecture Series – Postcards from Cuba🌍


Explore the wonders of the planet with Geologist and Scientist, Jack Thomas.


Having earned a PhD. In Geology, Jack has worked on energy and environmental projects all over the world. He has served as a college professor, research scientist, petrophysical explorer, trainer, and environmentalist. His publications led to lecturing in Southeast Asia and the Middle East for an international engineering society. Since 2006 he has been an invited lecturer on ocean cruises folding together his interest in the interaction between Earth history and human history.

The Sanibel Captiva Audubon Society is excited to announce their third, and last, lecture of the year: The conservation biology of two famously Floridian raptors: Swallow-tailed Kites and Southeastern American Kestrels from Dr. Ken Meyer of the Avian Research Conservation Institute.

Trailways Camps Artistic Abilities Art Auction🎨


Weekdays through March 31st, visit The Islander Room at The Sanibel Community House to view and bid on local art created by Trailways Campers.


The exhibition is open weekdays from 9 am - 3 pm through Monday, March 31, 2025.


This event supports Trailways Camps, providing an opportunity to bid on beautiful and meaningful artwork during their auction. Your support provides campers with life-changing experiences!

Learn from Naturopathic Doctor, Paula Johnson, as she teaches the importance of digestive health, wellness, and balance.


Paula holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University and had worked as a therapist with children for over 35 years. Her passion for health and wellness led her to further her studies as a Naturopathic Doctor from Trinity College of Natural Health because of the growing epidemic of children with autism, allergies, ADHD, and other health related issues.

Shellcrafters-The Originals🐚—Observe the original Sanibel Island Artists at work on Mondays from 10am-1pm.


Join in on the fun, browse and shop for your favorite locally hand crafted items. All sales benefit the operations of the non-profit historical Community House.


A shell crafting class starts at 10am, the class is free, just pay for supplies to create a beautiful shell flower. Approximate Shell Flower Costs: $3-$5/per flower. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Painting with Friends🎨Wednesdays from 9am-12pm though April 30, 2025. All painters are invited to join in! Bring your own supplies. New painters are always welcome. Donation $10. Register and pay at the door. For more information, please email Jane Hudson at janehudsonpainter@yahoo.com.



Sanibel Hearts❤️ Fridays from 1-3pm. No reservations required, $5 suggested donation. This fun card game is available to all. Beginners are always welcome!
