The Sanibel-Captiva Audubon Society Presents Dr. Eric Milbrandt, Marine Lab Director at SCCF. Join us on January 13th at 6 pm to learn about Sanibel's mangrove population. No reservation required.

The Sanibel Historical Museum & Village presents "Twilight Talk" on Tuesday, January 21st at 7 pm. Join us for a JOYFUL celebration of Sanibel Anniversaries. Emcee Andrea (Rhodes) Miller will host a group of speakers—a veritable Who’s Who of Sanibel Personalities—starting off with stories from Leslie (LeBuff) Young, who lived in the Lighthouse Keepers Quarters for over 20 years.

Tickets are now on sale for the screening of the film, "On Sanibel: The Hurricane Diaries" on Thursday, January 30th 5 - 7:30 pm. Proceeds will benefit CHR's affordable housing. The film follows Sanibel residents right before, during, and after the devastation brought by Hurricane Ian.

Shellcrafters-The Originals—Observe the original Sanibel Island Artists at work on Mondays from 10am-1pm.


Join in on the fun, browse and shop for your favorite locally hand crafted items. All sales benefit the operations of the non-profit historical Community House.


A shell crafting class starts at 10am, the class is free, just pay for supplies to create a beautiful shell flower. $3/Small Flower Supplies and $4/Large Flower Supplies. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Painting with FriendsWednesdays from 9am-12pm though April 2025. All painters are invited to join in! Bring your own supplies. New painters are always welcome. Donation $10. Register and pay at the door. For more information, please email Jane Hudson at janehudsonpainter@yahoo.com.



Sanibel Hearts Fridays from 1-3pm. No reservations required, $5 suggested donation. This fun card game is available to all. Beginners are always welcome!

Call for Volunteers—Do you have a few hours each week to share with us? We are looking for volunteers in various areas, from inside, office clerical work and events to outside, hands-on gardening, and everything in-between!
