In partnership with the Lee Health Blood Center, we will be hosting a Blood Drive here at The Community House.

Cake Demo & Tasting🍰

A fun and engaging class where students learn basic cake-decorating techniques and must-have tools and equipment!

All supplies are provided and students take home a 6-inch cake!

Join us for a night full of dance, drinks, and excitement! All levels are welcome–no experience necessary! With 18 years of teaching and serving the ever-growing dance community, Anthony “Kumo” Tineo continues to build upon and provide his best.

Trailways Camps Artistic Abilities Art Auction🎨

Beginning March 1st, visit The Islander Room at The Sanibel Community House to view and bid on local art created by Trailways Campers.

The exhibition is open daily from 9 am - 3 pm through Monday, March 31, 2025.

This event supports Trailways Camps, providing an opportunity to bid on beautiful and meaningful artwork during their auction.

Weekly Happenings📅

Shellcrafters-The Originals🐚—Observe the original Sanibel Island Artists at work on Mondays from 10am-1pm.

Join in on the fun, browse and shop for your favorite locally hand crafted items. All sales benefit the operations of the non-profit historical Community House.

A shell crafting class starts at 10am, the class is free, just pay for supplies to create a beautiful shell flower. $3/Small Flower Supplies and $4/Large Flower Supplies. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Painting with Friends🎨—Wednesdays from 9am-12pm though April 2025. All painters are invited to join in! Bring your own supplies. New painters are always welcome. Donation $10. Register and pay at the door. For more information, please email Jane Hudson at janehudsonpainter@yahoo.com.

Sanibel Hearts❤️— Fridays from 1-3pm. No reservations required, $5 suggested donation. This fun card game is available to all. Beginners are always welcome!

Call for Volunteers❤️—Do you have a few hours each week to share with us? We are looking for volunteers in various areas, from inside, office clerical work and events to outside, hands-on gardening, and everything in-between! Volunteering is a great way to give back and connect with the community! Click HERE to contact us and submit a volunteer form.

We are currently looking for Volunteers for our upcoming Shell Festival on March 6th, 7th, and 8th. Even if it's just for a few hours or one or two tasks, we would love to have you join us in helping make the 88th Annual Shell festival a success!
