Our Mission Statement:

“To enrich community spirit through educational, cultural and social gatherings in our historic Community House.”

As the 2024-2025 season wraps up, we are filled with a great sense of appreciation and joy. Thank you to our dedicated network of members, supporters, community partners, and volunteers. 


Whether you attended one of our classes or seminars this past season, renewed your annual membership, became a new member, made a financial contribution, volunteered your valuable your time with us, attended our Speakeasy Gala in January, attended the 89th Annual Sanibel Shell Festival, or attended one of the many other events that were held at “The Island Gathering Place”, your Sanibel Community House, we are truly grateful for you!


Thank you for your commitment and belief in our mission.

Lunch, prepared by Sanibel Deli, is provided by FISH at no cost to guests.

Meal selections will be provided upon RSVP.

Islanders, friends and family are invited to the community-wide FISH OF SANCAP Friendly Faces Luncheon! This month’s featured guest is Dianna Ryan, Community and Business Outreach Coordinator at Captains For Clean Water, who will lead an informative discussion focused on protecting Florida’s waterways.

Shellcrafters-The Originals🐚—Observe the original Sanibel Island Artists at work on Mondays from 10am-1pm.


Join in on the fun, browse and shop for your favorite locally hand crafted items. All sales benefit the operations of the non-profit historical Community House.


A shell crafting class starts at 10am, the class is free, just pay for supplies to create a beautiful shell flower. Approximate Shell Flower Costs: $3-$5/per flower. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Sanibel Hearts❤️Fridays from 1-3pm. No reservations required, $5 suggested donation. This fun card game is available to all. Beginners are always welcome!
