The Sanibel Community Association extends its heartfelt thoughts and support to everyone near and far who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene.
We are happy to report that The Community House weathered the storm well, with minimal outdoor flooding and cleanup. Our lights are on, the air conditioning is cooling, and the internet is up and running strong!
If you need a break, a place to connect to the internet, or would like to stop in to say, "hello", our doors are open, and we are here for you! We are open weekdays, Monday through Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm. Stop in to see the magnificent artwork we have hanging in our Autumn Showcase, all created by local artists from the Sanibel-Captiva Art League!
We are a resilient community, and together we will move forward.

Fall Festival—Friday, October 25th from 4:00-6:00pm. We'll have cider, donuts, frozen custard, sunflowers, pumpkins and a fall themed photo area for pictures with your friends, family or pets! It will be fun for the whole family!
The Sanibel Community House is set to bring a taste of autumn to the Fall Festival with a special treat: a Signature Fall Flavor of frozen custard created in collaboration with The Shack of Sanibel. This exclusive flavor is sure to capture the essence of the season and delight attendees!

Arts & Crafts Fair—Sunday, October 27th from 9:00am-2:00pm. Save the dates, this popular event returns each month between October 2024 and April 2025. There's no better time than now to start your holiday shopping, and shop local for unique and hand crafted gifts!

Shell Crafters-The Originals—Observe the original Sanibel Island Artists at work on Mondays from 10am-1pm. Click here for calendar dates.
Join in on the fun, browse and shop for your favorite locally hand crafted items. All sales benefit the operations of the non-profit historical Community House.
A shell crafting class starts at 10am, the class is free, just pay for supplies to create a beautiful shell flower. $3/Small Flower Supplies and $4/Large Flower Supplies. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Sanibel Plan Exhibit Premiere & Exhibition—Tuesday, November 19th from 6:00-8:00pm. A collaborative exhibit – part of a year long celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Sanibel – will kick off with a documentary film exploring the past, present and future of the Sanibel Plan. The exhibit is presented by SCCF, WRT, and the University of Florida's School of Landscape Architecture and Planning.

You're Invited! The City of Sanibel Celebrates 50 Years with Tree Lighting Event at Sanibel Community Park, 2231 Periwinkle Way—Saturday, November 30th at 5:00pm. Light refreshments will be provided after the tree lighting at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. Snap a picture with Santa and his crew while enjoying cookies and crafts!
