About the Artists

Brad MacKenzie, is an oil painter and known on the island as “Brad the Beekeeper,” purveyor of the famed Sanibel Honey. He has lived on the island full-time since 2019 and is the manager for the Island Management Community Association. Brad says his paintings and drawings “capture a spark of something familiar, but not quite tangible, that resonates with our shared experiences…” He is a member of the Sanibel-Captiva Art League and has shown his artwork in Sanibel, Captiva and Maine.

Peter Zell is a retired attorney who grew up in Southern California. After moving to Sanibel in 2005, he pursued his artistic bent, joining the San-Cap Art League and painting en plein air with like-minded artists on Thursday mornings. He is a past president of the art league and has exhibited his award-winning oil paintings, acrylics and watercolors in California, the Butler Institute of American Art in Ohio, and throughout Southwest Florida. Peter describes his style as “impressionistic, with a touch of abstraction.”

Exclusive Wine Dinner 🍷✨

Thursday, March 12th

6-8pm

On March 12th, we invite you to join us for what will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated wine evenings of the season—an intimate dinner featuring the wines of Silverado Vineyards.

This special evening brings together exceptional Napa Valley wines, a thoughtfully curated multi-course dinner by Chef Karl, and the return of a culinary presence we are delighted to welcome back to Bailey’s. Each course will be intentionally paired to showcase the character, balance, and elegance that define Silverado Vineyards.

Guiding us through the evening will be James Slusarz, offering insight into the wines and the stories behind them—adding depth, context, and a rare behind-the-scenes perspective to the experience.

Seating is strictly limited to 40 guests to preserve the intimacy of the evening and allow for unhurried enjoyment of the food, the wines, and the conversation. This is a night designed for those who appreciate not just what is in the glass, but the care and intention behind every detail.
