Lee Health Blood Drive 🩸

Please Help Us Make Our Goal of 10+ Units of Blood.


The Sanibel Community Association will be hosting a blood drive in collaboration with Lee Health at The Sanibel Community House.


All donors will receive a limited-edition t-shirt and wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening.


All donors must present photo identification with date of birth.

All donors must weigh at least 115 pounds.


We have limited time slots available; registration is important and encouraged

There are currently 5 time slots open:

  • 3 spots available for each time: 10am and 10:30am

Join us at the Community House for a FREE night of fun for CH volunteers and members!


Join us for this exclusive night of dancing and fun featuring "The Cat Named Clark" band, cornhole, cash bar, soft drinks, raffle prizes, and a Southern comfort style BBQ buffetTea and lemonade are complimentary, alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the bar.


This event is in appreciation of our members and volunteers who made the 2025-2026 season so successful. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate you, and hope you can join us for this end-of-season social event!


Food is provided by Mission BBQ and consists of: Sliced brisket, pulled chicken, Mac n' Cheese, baked beans, cornbread, mixed greens, brownies, and cookies.


Music is provided by "The Cat Named Clark band"; a band that often performs in Sanibel and Captiva. They are a 70s soft rock cover band consisting of four members: Tanya Mahanger, Jimmy Jensen, Gus Centrone, and Bill Rogers.


Raffle prizes are available to win thanks to our generous sponsors: Bailey Matthews National Shell Museum, Billy's Rentals, Bit of Bailey's, Blue Giraffe, Bubbly Latitude, On Island, Pierce's Paw Paradise, Sanibel Deli & Coffee Factory, and Dave Scheiber.

Sanibel Art Hop 🎨

Join us for Sanibel Art Hop!

Start your afternoon at the Sanibel Community House, which serves as the official jumping-off point for the Art Hop.


From there, hop around to all seven participating galleries, meet local artists, and enjoy the creative energy that makes Sanibel’s art community so special. Collect a passport stamp from each gallery to receive a free drink from Rosalita’s Cantina.

Spend the afternoon discovering incredible local art, meeting fellow art lovers, and enjoying a lively island tradition. We look forward to seeing everyone hopping around Sanibel and celebrating the creativity of our vibrant community.

Call For Summer Instructors and Club Leaders

If you’re passionate about connecting with others and sharing your skills, we’d love to hear from you!


We need leaders for our new book club and film enthusiasts club—these groups have high interest and are waiting for someone to guide them. 


Additionally, we’re seeking instructors for beginner-level cooking/culinary and visual arts classes (painting, drawing, etc.). If you’re interested in leading or teaching, or know someone who might be, please click the Instructor Proposal & Policy Form below and return the completed the form to Ivy Ankerson at ivy@sanibelcommunityhouse.net.

Observe the original Shellcrafters at work and learn how to craft shell creations like the pros!


Take home a little piece of Sanibel Island as you use native shells to craft your unique creation. All ages are welcome, we would love for you to join us!
