Introduction to

Apple Procreate - Part 1

for ages 12 and up


Procreate is a powerful, inexpensive program that runs on the Apple iPad. It allows you to create art that emulates pencil sketches, oil paintings, pastels, charcoal drawings, and more; suitable for a wide range of ages and skill levels. It requires a fairly recent iPad and an Apple Pencil. If you don’t have these tools, you’ll learn how you can acquire them at reduced cost. If you have them, bring to class, and get started right away.

BEGINNER WATERCOLOR CLASS

Author and illustrator, Karel Hayes, will be teaching basic watercolor painting! This program is for adults and children (ages 10 and older). Fun for an individual or the whole family. Karel will answer questions about the steps in creating a picture book.

Greet Halloween with the eerie poetry of two American masters, Edgar Allen Poe and Emily Dickinson. Jeffrey Zygmont, a poet, author, and student of literature will recite several spooky works and provide context and commentary. The program includes summaries of the featured poets' lives and works. This is Zygmont's third visit to the Library; his outstanding poetry programs have won rave reviews from local literature lovers.
