What is your name and what is your title at Ruppert Nurseries?
My name is Casey Custodio and I am the In-House Sales Rep for Ruppert Nurseries.
As the In-House Sales Rep, what does your job consist of?
My job consists of taking care of our new customers along with assisting any of our sales team with pictures, tagging, and customer visits. I also help with marketing and other promotional aspects of the nursery.
Tell us about a typical day at Ruppert.
My typical day consists of working with customers, taking sample pictures, spot checking inventory counts and tagging sold trees. I also assist with daily production and logistics as needed.
Are you working on any interesting projects right now?
Right now, I am working on some marketing research and development planning that I am very excited for us to utilize and implement. I am looking forward to seeing how effective our plans will be.
What do you like most about your job?
I work with a bunch of really great people on a beautiful farm.
What do you like to do when you are not working at Ruppert?
When I am not working, I prefer to spend my time with my family and our two dogs.
Can you tell us one thing that our customers and maybe coworkers would be surprised to learn about you?
I started working as a florist when I was 16 years old and continued working there until I was 25.

A newer addition to Ruppert Nurseries, is the Columnar Tulip Poplar or formally known as Liriodendron tulipifera 'Arnold'. 'Arnold' is an upright variety, but still has all of the admirable qualities of our native and beloved Tulip Poplar. 'Arnold' is fast growing with uniquely shaped leaves boasting large, bright orange and green flowers in late spring and early summer. Spring is the best time to dig Tulip Poplar.
February Availability
Spring digging has already started at the nursery! Our trees and shrubs are still dormant and the timing is right for transplanting. Make sure that you don't miss the digging window this season! Follow the link below for the February availability.
As we head into the 2022 spring season, we are already seeing an increase in freight rates by about 10-15%. Our freight carriers have let us know that rates are being impacted by the pandemic; more specifically the state of the freight industry and fuel prices. Please be aware of the increase when planning your upcoming projects that require delivery.
Scheduling deliveries may also be impacted. We recommend scheduling your delivery dates well in advance. As always, we will do our best to help you with all of your scheduling needs! Together we can navigate this freight forecast with patience, communication and understanding.
