The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting last Thursday, January 23rd.

At the meeting, 4 existing board members had their terms extended and 4 new members were inducted onto the board. Pictured above are those board members (from left to right), Debbie Bennett, April Pierce, Sheena Stalder, Bobbin Pardine, Joel Potts and Cammissa McCurdy. The night was capped with presentations by each of the standing committee chairs. Camissa McCurdy, Economic Growth Committee Chair, spoke about her 3 point plan for 2020; Connection, Communication and Action, detailing her plans to connect with members, bring more people into the conversation and take action based on what we learn. Events and Special Programs Chair, Jane Ann Gamble, reviewed the events from 2019 and outlined what to expect going into 2020. Brandon Galici, Membership and Community Engagement Chair, spoke about the impact that the Ambassador group has had and some of the tactics that have been developed by that group to better activate businesses in the community.

What is your reaction to the announcement that Ramp Fest is happening again on April 11th?
I am hyped and can wait to go.
I'm glad it's happening and I will try to go.
I'm glad it's happening, but I doubt I will go.
What is Ramp Fest?
What is a Ramp?
