Set up for Success in the Community

Throughout this discussion we will talk about ways to help reduce the stress of going out. We will also review ways to help your child/youth feel more comfortable with new experiences and expectations while in your community.
Change Makers: Learn to Volunteer

Hey TVCC youth, we know you have the potential to be Change Makers! In this session, we will learn how you can discover your interests, find your voice, and make a positive impact in your community through volunteer work!
Sleep...How to Help Your Child Get More
Does your child or youth go to bed late, wake up early, wake up throughout the night or not cooperate with bedtime routines?

We will cover the most common sleep problems, help you create a personalized and do-able bedtime routine, talk about a Sleep Log and teach you practical approaches to help your child sleep better, regardless of the sleep problem they are having!

High School Workshop Series: Schools in Session

School is back in session! In our High School workshop series, we will be talking about how to best prepare for the upcoming school year.

We'll be covering topics like: what to expect on the first day, how to talk to your teachers, making friends, joining clubs, and how to take care of yourself through all of it!
Connecting With Others
Virtual Wednesdays! Youth with disabilities can connect, hang out and try something fun. Play games, join in trivia or plan for something new. Join with other TVCC Youth on Zoom. Youth aged siblings are welcome.
Join us on Monday afternoons for Caregivers Connecting! This virtual chat is an opportunity for parents and caregivers of children/ youth with special needs to come together and find people going through similar journeys.
Virtual CLAP - Music & Rhythm
Tuesdays in August
10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Intended for school age kids, 4-10 yrs
Virtual C.L.A.P. Music and Rhythm is a parent/child interactive Zoom program that allows children with special needs and their siblings to develop a love of music while spending quality time with their parents.

Together with your children, we will practice problem-solving skills, gross motor skills, fine motor skills and cooperation during a C.L.A.P. class.
August Programs for Youth
Virtual Campfire is a fun and informal group where participants come together each week to participate in their favourite camp songs, stories, jokes, games and much more.
Join us every other Tuesday as we go on a virtual tour through theme parks, zoos and the ocean. We'll be having fun discussions and lots of laughs, it'll almost feel like you're there!
Join us on Fridays as we watch short stories, put our detective skills to the test through virtual escape rooms, paint together, share our talents, and much more!

From homework tips, to dealing with bullying, to keeping kids active and healthy, About Kids Health back to school tips will help you and your child prepare for a fun and successful year ahead.
