Service Spotlight - Networking Opportunities  It's easy to think we know everyone in a rural comunity, but sometimes find that when we get together that there are quite a few folks we do not actually know. Meeting these people provides a richer and more well rounded network of neighbors, friends and associates. The Caswell County Chamber works to create networking opportunities for the business community and also invites the general public to attend our many events as well. Our Connecting Caswell Networking Breakfasts and events like the recent Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet, upcoming golf outing and festivals, all provide opportunities to get to know other business minded people in the area. Meet the Board.... Next in our introductions of new board members serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is Bradley Taylor, co owner of Bucks & Bass Caswell Outdoors. Born in Burlington NC in 1992, Bradley has lived in Yanceyville NC the majority of his life. His parents, Ruby and Vernon Taylor are tributed to his hard work and drive. Bradley credits his father for introducing him to the outdoor world of hunting and fishing. With any free time they had, the two were out and his Dad would teach him the 'do's and dont's' in hunting wild game on their land. Bradley played all sports starting at age six, attended Bartlett Yancey Highschool, and received a football scholarship at Garner Webb University. There he studied Business Administration. Graduating in 2015 Bradley opted to move back to Caswell and with his hometown friend, Jamie Henderson, opened their own hunting and fishing store. Bucks and Bass has been a blessing ever since shared Bradley. God, family, and friends are most important in Bradley's ife and he believes with all three in his life, anything is possible.

SECU is excited to announce a new program for FAT CAT and Zard members – SECU’s Summer Camp Awards!  The program will give members ages 6-16 an opportunity to be entered for a chance to win $500 to help cover the costs of their summer camp registration! Camp fees can be pricey and we’re looking forward to helping some lucky winners with this expense. To enter, the student will share their dream summer camp experience through a: ·      Drawing of an original illustration, or ·      Writing of an essay (250 words or less) Parents/guardians will then complete the online application on the SECU website and email either a photo of the drawing or the essay to outreach@ncsecu.org. Summer Camp Award applications and drawings/essays must be submitted by April 29, 2022. The child must be enrolled in a summer camp or enrichment program for Summer 2022. Submissions are limited to one per child and children of officers, directors, employees, representatives, volunteers, and agents of SECU are not eligible. Applicants will include their local branch name on their submission and a FAT CAT and Zard winner will be selected for each branch in random drawings to be held on or about May 2nd from among all eligible entries assigned to the particular branch. The drawings will be administered by the Outreach department who will also notify branches and provide an award letter to be presented to the recipients. Branches are encouraged to include Advisory Board members in their local award presentations. Bright Leaf Classic Golf Tournament Thursday May 26, 2022 Join us for one of the largest tournaments in the county as the Chamber hosts the annual tournament to raise funds to support the Caswell County business community. Volunteer Opportunities are availalbe. Email here to sign up for the fun!
