Please support our local Caswell farmers by visiting the Farmers Market

August 6-12, 2023 is National Farmers Market Week!!!!

Farmers markets are an abundant source of food, connection, and resilience in our communities and across the county, but they don’t just happen on their own.

Behind the scenes of every successful farmer’s market is a dedicated person or team working to make the market thrive. These farmers need support from the whole community in order for them to be sustainable.

On August 10th, The FFA from Bartlett Yancey will be visiting the market, Sarah Chandler, one of the FFA Advisors will be bringing the officer team. They are trying to gather volunteer opportunities for the students within the community and are interested in seeing the market, talking with the farmers/vendors, and being involved in the community. If any of you have any ideas, etc. please let me know. We hope that it will be a good fit for their members and that they will want to help out at the market in some way.

Also in August, look forward to:

AUG. 10TH - The Boardwalk Baker
Aug. 17th - HolyMole - Mexican/Spanish Food Truck, Set-up from 11-6:30 PM
AUG. 24TH - Lucindy Willis at Terrapin Cove - Food Demo - Award-Winning Gazpacho Recipe
