Staci, office assistant, and Evan, senior accountant, were each named Be a Bengal nominees for August. Both were nominated for exemplifying Integrity, Inclusivity, Shared Responsibility, Community, Learning, and Teamwork.

Since 2019, the "Be a Bengal" Program has recognized employees who exemplify ISU's six core values.

We recently welcomed our next cohort of SPARK a FIRE scholars to campus!

The SPARK a FIRE program is open to academically talented students who transfer to ISU and major in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or chemistry. Eligible scholars receive a scholarship award of up to $10,000 as well as access to resources specific to the transfer student experience.

Office for Research 2026 Annual Progress and Impact Report

Idaho State University's FY26 impact report outlines $41.1 million in research funding, new internal grant programs, and expanded partnerships with groups like the Idaho National Laboratory. It also sets future priorities for boosting biomedical research and helping faculty commercialize their discoveries.

The university is launching this year’s ISU/United Way Workplace Giving Campaign, and we’re building a volunteer committee of faculty and staff who want to strengthen our community, support local families, and help drive meaningful change across our region.

Dean's Excellence Fund Accepting Requests from Students

The College of Science and Engineering Dean's Excellence Fund is intended to support students in their journey through ISU. The Dean's Office is particularly interested in providing financial assistance to students who might not be able to enroll in or complete the semester because of short-term financial hardships. Students seeking such support should be in good academic standing.

If you know of a student who is in need of short-term support, please have them complete this form.

September 4: Last day to register, add/drop, change section, or audit full semester courses

September 4: Last day to submit Idaho Residency Determination Worksheet with documentation to Office of the Registrar to declare Idaho residency

September 7: Labor Day holiday (no classes)

September 21: Last day to file an application for December 2026 graduation

September 25: Last day to WITHDRAW from early 8-week courses

October 5: Early 8-week course grading opens

October 12: Mid-term week

October 12: Spring 2027 Class Schedule viewable online (subject to change)

October 19: Late 8-week courses begin

October 20: Early 8-week course grading closes at 5:00 pm

October 23: Last day to add/drop late 8-week courses

October 30: Last day to WITHDRAW from full-semester courses
