Great job, Elijah Escobedo!

Recently, Elijah, a second-year honors student studying biology with a biomedical sciences concentration, was selected to participate in the Public Health Scholars Program at Columbia University in New York City.

As one of the 30 students chosen nationwide, he’ll be exposed to field experiences, participate in academic coursework ranging from epidemiology to biostatistics, and complete a final project.

The Idaho State University Association of Computing Machinery – Women’s Chapter (ISU ACM-W) is officially up and running!

ISU ACM-W is "a supportive community that empowers women in computing by providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and resources to help them succeed in their academic and professional careers."

Membership in the club is open to all CoSE students.

Thank you for spending some time with us, Representative Mike Simpson!

Recently, the congressman made a visit to campus, which included a tour of the reactor lab and a discussion about some of ISU’s current and emerging energy-focused education and research initiatives.

Bengal Bio Open House Set for April 19

The Department of Biological Sciences will be hosting the Bengal Bio Open House on Saturday, April 19, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Gale Life Sciences Building.

At the event, students ages 14+ can learn more about ISU degrees, student clubs, scholarship and internship opportunities, and more.

Spots are limited, and registration is required.

Fulbright Information Panel Planned for April 17

David Rodgers, Matthew Levay, and Wesley Peterson will participate in a panel discussion and share their experiences as past Fulbright awardees. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.

The U.S. Fulbright Program funds graduating seniors, graduate students, and faculty members to conduct research or teach abroad for a year.

The panel will be held on Thursday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Building's Wood River Room.

Dean's Excellence Fund Accepting Requests from Students

The College of Science and Engineering Dean's Excellence Fund is intended to support students in their journey through ISU. The Dean's Office is particularly interested in providing financial assistance to students who might not be able to enroll in or complete the semester because of short-term financial hardships. Students seeking such support should be in good academic standing.

If you know of a student who is in need of short-term support, please have them complete this form.
