Volunteers Needed for Idaho STEM Action Center's Hour of Code Events
The Idaho STEM Action Center is looking for volunteers to help host Hour of Code activities in elementary schools in Pocatello and around East Idaho from December 9 through 15.
Volunteers do not need to have any coding experience or know anything about computer coding. They just need to be willing to sit with the students, ask them questions, and learn alongside them. Volunteers are asked to participate for an hour (or more if able).
If you would like to volunteer or have questions, contact Sarah Howard, STEM Foundation and Development Manager with the Idaho STEM Action Center, at sarah.howard@stem.idaho.gov.

2024 United Way and Idaho State University Workplace Giving Campaign
ISU employees raised nearly $10,000 in this year’s Workplace Giving Campaign, benefitting the United Way locations serving Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Meridian. The funds were raised at a number of fun events, from individual donations and through payroll deduction pledges.
While the giving campaign runs through the month of October each year, there is still time to sign up for payroll deduction. Payroll deductions will begin in January 2025, and they do not rollover year to year. If you wish to continue making a difference in this way please complete a deduction form each year.

Help Us Share Your Accomplishments!
Our College’s outstanding faculty, staff, and students achieve many notable research and professional accomplishments. In addition, our departments regularly have newsworthy advancements. We want to make sure those stories are shared publicly. Here are a few ways you can provide a news tip to help get the word out:
Use this Story Submission Form to send your news tip to the Office of Marketing and Communications.
Send an email to Logan McDougall (loganmcdougall@isu.edu) with a brief description of the news to be shared.
You are always welcome to create a draft story, submit it via the Story Submission Form, or send it to Logan. The Office of Marketing and Communications and Logan will coordinate to get the story finalized and distributed to the media outlets/platforms that best tell the story.
