NSF Engineering Research Initiation Program Solicitation

The NSF Directorate for Engineering (ENG) seeks to build engineering research capacity across the nation by investing in new academic investigators who have yet to receive sufficient research funding from federal agencies. The Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) program will support new investigators as they initiate their research programs and advance in their careers as researchers, educators, and innovators.

Update on the Network Status of Portneuf Medical Center

Negotiations between Regence BlueShield of Idaho and Portneuf Health have successfully concluded with an agreement. Portneuf Health is no longer out-of-network, and all coverage under the agreement is retroactive to June 15.

Reminder: Updated CPI Eligibility Requirements

As faculty and staff return for the fall semester, the Career Path Internship (CPI) Program would like to remind campus departments of the updated student eligibility requirements that took effect July 1.

Students participating in the CPI Program must now have junior standing or higher.

Faculty Drop-in Hours with Dean Widmann

Dean Widmann invites faculty to a drop-in hour on the third Thursday of each month, from 1 to 2 p.m., in Room 121 of the Physical Science Complex. Due to another commitment, August's will be held on Thursday, August 27.

This optional opportunity gives faculty a chance to chat with the Dean about projects, ask questions, share successes, and provide input regarding the future of the College.

Dean's Excellence Fund Accepting Requests from Students

The College of Science and Engineering Dean's Excellence Fund is intended to support students in their journey through ISU. The Dean's Office is particularly interested in providing financial assistance to students who might not be able to enroll in or complete the semester because of short-term financial hardships. Students seeking such support should be in good academic standing.

If you know of a student who is in need of short-term support, please have them complete this form.
