Call for Facilities Projects

We are excited to announce the launch of our annual Call for Projects to the campus community.

This is a critically important aspect of our annual Facilities project planning as we identify institutional priorities with leadership related to the allocation of time and resources for the greatest project needs of Idaho State University. This process commits significant time and energy to yearly project planning, funding proposals, and resource commitments. We invite each of you to work with your respective units to consider and submit project proposals as we plan for projects that will shape the future of ISU.

Budget Optimization Update: Early College Recommendations Approved

Admin Council has approved the Early College budget optimization recommendations, which include support for continued growth and success of the Early College program and an increased annual contribution of approximately $300,000 to Central University Funds to offset our deficit.

Fall Commencement 2023: You're Invited!

Faculty presence is an essential element of the commencement experience, so please mark your calendars for December 16 and plan to attend. 

Faculty can find information specific to your needs at the Faculty Tab on our Commencement website. The commencement website will be updated as plans are finalized. 

Faculty RSVP Required

We would appreciate an RSVP from any faculty members who plan to attend. Please fill out the Faculty RSVP Form by Friday, November 17.

Professional Development Applications Open

Looking for some additional funds to further your professional development? Apply for the Staff Council Professional Development Award. The maximum award is $500 and can be used to pay registration for workshops, conferences, non-ISU classes or training, and travel expenses. 

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity! Spring Applications are due on Oct 1, 2023 for activities falling within Jan 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024 time period.

CW HOG Presents the 43rd Annual PIG OUT

All are invited to celebrate at the 43rd annual CW Hog Pig Out Sept. 16 from 4-9 p.m. at the Lower Ross Park Pavilion. 

The Pig Out is the largest and most successful fundraiser for the HOG's. Since 1981, it has grown to feed over 1,200 community supporters yearly. The menu of roast pork, baked potatoes, corn, vegetarian Dutch oven dishes, and salads is always a huge crowd pleaser. Local band "Best by Yesterday" will play until everyone is all danced out.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the event for ages 12 and older, $5 in advance, $7 at the event for children ages 6-11. Beer and wine tickets are $3. 

Feedback Requested: Fire Drills

Thank you to all Bengals for your participation in our annual fire drills. Fire drills occurred on all three campuses and in all of our housing units with more than 3,000 participants. As a friendly reminder, treat all fire alarms as if they are an actual emergency. 

Thank you for taking an active role in helping us better prepare campus for a fire emergency. Now, we want to hear from you! Your feedback is essential to improving our processes. Please take our survey and tell us your thoughts about the drill process.
