IASE Annual Meeting and Symposium Slated for April 5 and 6

The 2024 Annual Meeting and Symposium of the Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering is being held jointly between the IASE and the Intermountain Conference on the Environment on ISU's Pocatello campus on April 5 and 6.

The theme of the Symposium is Sustainability and the Earth's Climate.

Students, faculty, staff, and community members are all encouraged to participate and attend.

Google Storage Limits: Moving Photos

Google will no longer provide ISU with unlimited data storage as part of our education service agreement with them. As a result, access to Google Photos will be turned off for all students, faculty, and staff after April 15. Alumni and retirees are on a separate timeline.

If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to the Service Desk for assistance at [email protected].

Enhanced Support for ClinicalTrials.gov

The Office for Research is now offering enhanced support for researchers required to register a study and report results at ClinicalTrials.gov.

A web page addressing clinical trial registration and reporting requirements has been developed to give researchers an overview of the process, answer key questions, and provide links to additional resources.

In addition, ClinicalTrials.gov training is now available. The training is conducted in person or via Zoom to allow for discussion and takes approximately 20-30 minutes. If you would like to schedule training, email a request for training to [email protected].

The requirement to register and report via ClinicalTrials.gov applies to most clinical trials with few exceptions.

A new website is available to provide the latest information and answer questions related to ISU's transition to Canvas.

Faculty can begin exploring Canvas now by requesting a sandbox course and completing the self-paced training designed specifically for ISU. Staff and student access to Canvas will be provided in the coming months. Additional training, resources, and help for the transition can be found in the Training & Resources section of the website.

In addition to the website, please join Academic Affairs and the Instructional Technology Resource Center (ITRC) for a Town Hall at 11 a.m. on March 26.

Big Band Concert and Super Smash Bros Tournament Live at Jensen Hall

Join us for an electrifying evening at Idaho State University as the sounds of jazz and the thrill of gaming collide in a unique event on April 5

The ISU Big Band will open the concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Stephen’s Performing Arts Center Jensen Hall featuring new works for large ensembles. Following their performance, the stage will transform into the arena for a Super Smash Bros tournament, where contenders will battle it out with the aid of live musical accompaniment from the Video Game Music Ensemble. Use this Story Submission Form to send your news tip to the Office of Marketing and Communications.

Send an email to Logan McDougall ([email protected]) with a brief description of the news to be shared.

You are always welcome to create a draft story, submit it via the Story Submission Form, or send it to Logan. The Office of Marketing and Communications and Logan will coordinate to get the story finalized and distributed to the media outlets/platforms that best tell the story.
