Athletic Department Fundraisers

Two recent St. Bernard's Athletic Department fundraisers, in late August, successfully raised $35,000 for operating costs of athletics at the high school. According to Athletic Director Ryan Bisio and Director of the St. Bernard's Academy Foundation, Hailey Del Grande, the Alumni Golf Tournament and the Old Growth Cellars Dinner/Auction raised money that will be spent entirely on the student-athletes of St. Bernard's.

Golf Tournament

The Eureka Municipal Golf Course was the site of this summer’s annual Alumni Golf Tournament, which drew 60 golfers, all of whom experienced varying degrees of success on the golf course while universally enjoying old friends and classmates. It was a great time for all on a beautiful summer day. A special thanks to all alumni in attendance and the local companies and individuals who donated award items and our many hole sponsors.
The alumni tournament was organized by Joe Pinochi, Dan Cruz, Ron Maher and Hailey Del Grande.

Old Growth Cellars Dinner/Auction

This first time event was the design and production of Jim Pastori, class of 1979, who proposed donating his winery - Old Growth Cellars in Eureka - as the venue of this tremendously successful athletic department fundraiser. One-hundred fifty people attended and generously opened their wallets to support our school’s athletes. The event included a Silent Auction and Live Auction, featuring auctioneer Rex Bohn, and a Cajun Seafood Boil Dinner.
Carl Del Grande, Jim Pastori and Paul Shanahan spoke on the value of Athletics in the St. Bernard educational process. Organizers were Hailey Del Grande, Cindy Finck, Jason Gable, Becky Del Grande, Ron Maher, Jim Pastori and Paul Shanahan.
Music Man / Coach / SB Athletic Director Ryan Bisio provided the musical accompaniment for the evening.
