July’s First Friday will be the 18th annual Camas Poker Tour & Game Night in Alice in Wonderland Style! Join in the First Friday Fun, July 5th from 5pm – 8pm with family friendly Alice in Wonderland inspired games, poker tour, art shows, Alice in Wonderland dress up, after-hours shopping, dining, music and more! Pick up a passport to start the night at the DCA tables at Journey Church, 304 NE 4th Ave.

The Camas Car Show is Sure to Shine! | |
The Camas Car Show is coming Saturday, June 29th from 2-7pm! Bring your friends and family and come stroll the charming streets of historic Downtown Camas and enjoy the many classic and custom cars and trucks that fill the town in this 17th annual event. $20 entry fee for show cars, open event, no pre-registration necessary.
Enjoy raffles, live music, dance by the Virtuosity Performing Arts Studio and other family friendly entertainment. Get a free Hot Wheels car to the first 100 kids' coloring contest participants!
The Car Show benefits the Camas Washougal Treasure House Food Bank. Bring two needed food items and get a free raffle ticket! This year we are collecting canned soups, mac and cheese and canned tuna and chicken!

PFAS & GP Mill Cleanup Community Meeting | |
Mark Your Calendars for this important upcoming community meeting!
From the City of Camas:
The City of Camas, in conjunction with the Washington State Department of Ecology, Clark County Public Health and the Washington State Department of Health will hold an Open House, July 9, 2024, at Lacamas Lake Lodge, from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Representatives from each of the agencies listed will be available to answer questions and hear concerns regarding PFAS. Participants can ask the City of Camas about proposed actions and response to PFAS in Well 13 and the Camas water system, the Department of Ecology about the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) cleanup process at the Georgia Pacific Camas Mill, and the Department of Health and Clark County Public Health about EPAs new drinking water rule related to PFAS and about overall health related concerns.
A brief introduction will be provided by the City of Camas to kick off the meeting followed by an open house format where community members can have one-on-one conversations with agency representatives.

Join us for a mindful walking experience with elements of forest bathing proven to decrease stress, improve focus and creativity, and provide a feeling of ease and well-being. This is an opportunity to awaken all your senses in a beautiful surrounding.
Emily Olson is a yoga, breath work and meditation teacher and is trained in Forest Bathing in the tradition of the Mount Adams Buddhist Temple. She will guide us in walking, observing and interacting in nature on our own and as a group.
This program is part of our Nature Smart Library and was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Camas Washougal Community Chest.
