For kids entering Pre-K through 4th Grade
Participate all summer long!
 
Pick up a BINGO board (or access it from the website) and fill in rows and columns with completed tasks to earn as many BINGOs as you can. Each BINGO is worth a ticket to put in our prize boxes. We'll draw for prizes each Wednesday. Put your ticket in the prize box you want, including tickets to Lake Compounce! The more BINGOs you earn, the more chances you have to win!
 
Teen Summer Reading Rewards!

This year Kent Quilters are working with Kent Social Services on a Back to School fundraiser.  Help them to raise money to provide backpacks, sneakers, and winter parkas for the children of financially challenged families in the Kent community for Fall 2019.
 
Take a walk through town using the map to visit our projects at local merchants.  (maps are at each location) You can bid on any of the 15 handmade quilts on display - there are bid sheets at each location.
 
Enter the secret code located with the quilt and visit at least  12 of the 15 locations to win a handmade prize!

2019 Car Raffle. The Kent Memorial Library has chosen a 2000 Porsche Boxster Roadster as this year's annual fund raising raffle car. This arena red with Savanna beige leather interior has very low mileage. Tickets are $20. Raffle tickets are being sold in the Library and during the annual Library Book Sale. The car will be parked in front of the Library. The winning ticket will be drawn on at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 at the conclusion of the 43rd Annual Kent Pumpkin Run. Information is available on the Library's website. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our outdoor annual book sale carries a wide range of books, including many current best sellers, mysteries, biographies, art history, to name a few; the book sale caters to all interests. (the sale is weather permitting, if in doubt, call the Library.) All proceeds benefit the Kent Memorial Library.
 
Chess. Our chess boards and tables, inside and out are open to young and old, beginners to advanced. Team combinations are encouraged - for instance, grandparent and parent-child, co-workers, friends. All are welcome to use our chess equipment.
 
Every Saturday in June from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Summer Creative Journaling. Bring your own journal or create a new one. Stretch your observations and imagination. Expand your sense of writing. Have fun with pen and paper. Relieve stress. Bring a friend. Be surprised by guest speakers. Free and open to the public. Donations to KML happily accepted. Meet in the Reading Room. Led by E. Barrie Kavash. Please register.

The Book Sale officially opens Memorial Day Weekend
and runs through the fall.
