City of Lancaster to buy former General Sherman Junior High building from the school district

The city purchased the former General Sherman Junior High School building from Lancaster Schools after city council approved the sale. The approval signifies a unique collaboration and win for all three entities involved: Lancaster Water Department, Lancaster City Schools and Lancaster Parks & Recreation. By working together with the City of Lancaster Water Department to negotiate a generous and yet responsible purchase agreement, Lancaster City Schools is not only upcycling the former school location but will also be providing a new location for the Parks headquarters and indoor recreation opportunities for the citizens of Lancaster.
