Groovy 70's Dance

CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex in John Prince Memorial Park, Lake Worth

Throw on your best retro outfit and dance the night away on Fri, July 18, 6:00 p.m. Ages 18+, $8/participant. Program is designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Wetland Dipnetting

Riverbend Park, Jupiter

Join a naturalist to learn about the various type of wetlands and their importance to wildlife and humans. Then explore the underwater world by dipnetting for aquatic organisms on Sat, July 19, 9:30 a.m.

Snakes Around the World

Okeeheelee Nature Center in Okeeheelee Park,

west of West Palm Beach

Celebrate World Snake Day and learn about reptiles from around the globe with special guests from the South Florida Herpetological Society on Sat, July 19, 2:00 p.m. All ages, $5/participant. Reservation required.

Reptiles & Amphibians: Insidious Invasives

Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands, Boynton Beach

Join a naturalist to learn about Florida’s reptiles and amphibians, followed by a guided nature tour of the wetlands on Sat, July 26, 9:30 a.m. All ages, $5/participant. Reservation required.

The Art of Kokedama

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens,

Delray Beach

Learn kokedama, the traditional Japanese art of growing plants in a moss-covered ball of soil. Create your own to either decorate your home or give as a unique gift on Sat, July 26, 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. Ages 15+, $65/participant. Reservation required.

Arts4All Celebration of the Arts

Southwinds Golf Course: Renovation Notice

Lyons Road, Boca Raton

This summer, Southwinds Golf Course is undergoing a comprehensive renovation aimed at improving playing conditions. The course is scheduled to reopen for play in October.
