2022 Rule Review
The 2022 Rule Review is coming your way next week, are you ready to participate? We value homeowner involvement and look forward to your innovative ideas and thoughtful comments. This is your opportunity for your voice to be heard and to make a difference.

The committees have worked for the last two months to review the rules and compile their recommendations. Now it's your turn to provide input prior to the CAB Board's consideration at their July meeting. To see what the committees have reviewed please see below.

The Community Standards Committee (CSC) is tasked with reviewing the following portion of the Sterling Ranch Code of Rules: Chapter 1 – In General, Article II – Use Restrictions, Section 1-31 – 1 -39; Article IV – Enforcement Committee, Section 1-93 – 1-97; Chapter 13 Fees and Forms, Section 13-22 –13-25; Resolution No. 2021-10-06.

The Resident Advisory Committee (RAC) is tasked with reviewing the following portion of the Sterling Ranch Code of Rules: Chapter 17 Parks, Facilities and Open Spaces, Article III Parks, Section 17-54 –17-61; Article IV Facility Rules, Section 17-87 – 17-245.

The Design Review Committee (DRC) and the Design Advisory Committee (DAC) are tasked with reviewing the following portion of the Sterling Ranch Code of Rules: Chapter 21 – Structures and Uses, Article II – Residential Standards, Section 21-21 – 21-25.

If you are not familiar with the Sterling Ranch Code of Rules click here. Your opportunity to see the recommendations will be shared next week when the survey is released.

CAB NEWS
Streetlights Update
The Dimonoff Retrofit of the streetlights in Filings 4,2 and 1 will begin the week of June 20th and will continue for two months. The retrofit includes swapping out the Lighting Control Unit on the top of every pole head in these areas.
Common Area Maintenance and Improvements
  • Turf replacements on Titan Road Roundabout, Taylor River, and Eagle River.
  • Bench and Picnic Bench - sand and stain, 39 benches and tables, completed June 16.
  • Tree replacements - 50+ trees ordered and scheduled for replacement last week of June in CAB-owned and maintained areas.
  • Shrub replacement and mulch top dress - the replacement of 300+ shrubs around the community will begin next week. Mulch beds will be top-dressed after shrubs are installed.
Pool Shade Structure - Installation Beginning Monday!
The shade structure installation for the Overlook pool deck will begin Monday, June 27 at 8:00a. The installation will take 2-3 days, so please pardon our mess during this time. The area around the installation will be cordoned off but the pool will remain open during this time.
Meeting with the Douglas County Commissioners

We're back for another First Friday! This month we want to join your Porch Party! Wave over your neighbors and roll out the coolers to get to know your neighbors. Let us know you are having a Porch Party (or driveway party) to connect with your neighbors and we will be dropping off drinks, snacks, or prizes to enhance your party! We will be out in every village from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to join in on the fun!

PATRIOTIC HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST
Let's make Sterling Ranch beam with pride in red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July! Residents are encouraged to show their patriotic pride by decorating the outside of their homes by July 1. The top 3 houses with the best decorations will win a prize! Winners will be announced at 5:00 PM at the Stars and Stripes Celebration.
UNCLE SAM OR LADY LIBERTY LOOK-ALIKE CONTEST
Everyone knows the iconic symbols of the United States; Uncle Sam, and Lady Liberty. We want to see your best version of the long white hair and chin whiskers dressed in a swallow-tailed coat, vest, tall hat, and striped trousers in the parade! There will be two adult winners and two kids winners. Winners will be announced at 5:00 PM at the Stars and Stripes Celebration.
STARS AND STRIPES PARADE
We will start the celebration with a parade starting at Providence Park! Decorate your golf carts, bikes, strollers, scooters, and more to join us! The route will stay on internal, low-traffic streets. Click here for the route. Line up for the parade is at 4:00 PM at Providence Park. The parade starts at 4:15 PM.
In-N-Out Burger
In-N-Out Burger will be back for our Stars and Stripes Event. Purchase your meal tickets early as they sell out fast! Registration for In-N-Out starts on June 15th. The cost is $10 per meal, which includes a burger, chips, and drink. You can pick up your meals starting at 4:30 PM, day of the event.
Message in a Bottle Concert, Providence Park, 5:00pm-7:00pm
The Police remain one of the greatest rock bands of all time, with a fan base that's varied from young to old. Message In A Bottle recreates the magic and original flavor of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland of yesteryear, while producing an energetic and fresh live show of today leaving the audience wanting more whenever they hit the stage. If you're a Police fan, this band is a must see, and if you're not, you will be after the show. Bring your blankets or your own lawn chair and enjoy this great band!
