NON-COMMUNICATING WATER METERS
Residents receiving their monthly water bill will need to be aware of the new non-communicating meter fee of $25.00 for any home that does not communicate a reading through their copper lab device. This non- read is often caused by a device that is not connected to the internet due to a recent change made to the Wi-Fi setup, such as installing a new Wi-Fi router or changing your Wi-Fi password. The homeowner's responsibility is to update settings within the App that controls your Copper Lab device or to ensure an internet connection to the device. If you think that your device is offline, you can take these steps to restore the connection:

  • STEP ONE: Locate the Copper App on your smartphone (NOTE: if you don't have it loaded on your smartphone, go to Step 5 below and click the link for additional instructions)
  • Use the Assigned Lumiere-Home.net email address when logging into the App
  • The authentication token PIN will be sent to the Lumiere-Home.net (retrieve in BlueMail app)
  • Secondary members may be added to the Home, but the Lumiere-Home.net account is the key to this Dwelling/Premise.
  • STEP TWO: Click the menu button in the top left-hand corner of the App.
  • STEP THREE: Click the cog button next to your home address.
  • STEP FOUR: Verify both of the "Copper" devices are online; if NOT, Click the "Reconnect to Wi-Fi" button.
  • Follow the steps within the App to reconnect your Copper devices to your Wi-Fi (if you are having trouble connecting, make sure you are connecting the Copper devices to a network with 2.4GHz capabilities)
  • Perform these steps for both Copper devices. Make sure they both have Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Be sure to complete the process from START to FINISH for BOTH Gateways. Do not exit before completion, or the process will fail.
  • STEP FIVE: If this is unsuccessful, click here to use our full troubleshooting tree here (note: you will be able to submit a help ticket from within the troubleshooting tree)

Please follow steps 1-5. If you are unsuccessful, click on the above link to receive more information that may help you get your Copper Lab device back online. If you need additional help submitting a trouble ticket, or have questions regarding this fee please feel free to contact staff at 720-661-9694 or at [email protected],  for assistance.
