Jewelry Edition Volume 5
February 4 at 4 p.m.
Join us on Zoom for the virtual opening reception of the Jewelry Edition Volume 5 at Gallery 2052. Jewelry Edition is a traveling exhibition showcasing the work of eight artists making contemporary jewelry. Contemporary jewelry is sculpture, fashion, and science and Jewelry Edition seeks to work with artists who blend these areas to make one-of-a-kind wearable work. The Volume 5 collection spans materials including silver, resin, vintage tin types, enamel, powder coat, aluminum, and 3D printed technology.

Collecting Master Class: Building a Collection
February 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Whether you are a longtime collector or are interested in getting started, we welcome you to join leaders in the community – including collectors, curators, and art professionals – to explore what it means to collect and support the arts and artists. In the first of this series, presenters will speak candidly about their collection experiences and tips for acquiring work. Moderator Tyson Reeder (curator, artist, and associate professor of painting and drawing at SAIC) will be joined by Scott Ogden of Shrine Gallery and Brooklyn/St. Louis based artist Katherine Bernhardt.

Art After Work is a free series of facilitated art-making workshops inspired by art and artists from the museum's collections and exhibitions. In February, artist Marvin Tate will lead the workshop. Art After Work is for everyone, including beginners and people who say they “are not artists.” We can all be artists!
One Night Stand
Wednesday, February 24 from 6:30-7 p.m.
One Night Stand is a free series of art talks led by Intuit staff or an outsider art scholar. By focusing each program on one artwork from the museum's collections or exhibitions, the program facilitator engages audiences in conversation about the artist and how the selected artwork embodies their style.
