A message from the UNA-GP Vice President Carol Jenkins...
The upcoming November 6th elections might be the most crucial of any in our country’s history. The present leadership in the United States has turned its back on many international agreements, and retreated from many of the United Nations’ Millennium Goals. Next week, however, we have an opportunity to elect new members in Congress who will better represent the goals of the U.N., and better align with the values we cherish— not only as as citizens of the U.S.— but as citizens of the world. Please make sure to carefully choose the candidates on the ballot who represent the values of the United Nations, and please, come out and vote November 6th. Our world depends upon you!

Every year the United Nations celebrates World Toilet Day. On November 19th, 2018, so too will the Global Water Alliance by hosting a lecture on global sanitation. The speaker, Christiaan Morssink, is the president of the Global Water Alliance, has taught courses about global sanitation, and is well traveled. He will present this topic through discussion about the different ways people go to the bathroom. The “Why” in this lecture is why people go to the bathroom differently, and what that says about a country’s sanitation. The goal of the event is to create awareness about the major inequities in sanitation on a global scale. See flier
