SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE
Monday, December 17

Is something keeping you from experiencing the full joy of Christmas? Perhaps the loss of a loved one, a job, or some other life-changing situation? On December 17 at 6:30 pm we will offer a service to help those grieving a loss in their lives move from sorrow to hope and received God's comfort and grace.
SR. HIGH YOUTH
Sunday Nights, 6:00-8:00 pm
Youth Room
All 9th-12th grade students are welcome to join us on Sunday's for pizza, music games and Bible study. No charge for this event.

This Sunday James Waddell will continue his study on the Star of Bethlehem that the Wisemen followed.   Come and hear the scientific and biblical understanding of this star at 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.

Each morning you will receive an email which includes an opening prayer, daily Bible reading, closing prayer and digging deeper section, all accompanied by beautiful pictures and artwork what tie the reading together in a very meaningful way. TALENT SHOW
Friday, February 8, 7:30 pm
Sanctuary
Join us for this fun evening with all kinds of entertaining acts, including comedy monologues, instrumentals, vocals, and more.  Cash prizes for first, second, and third place winners will be awarded, determined by audience voting at the end of the program.  Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door as you leave.  If you would like to participate, contact John Bjornholt.
RECYCLING
Bring your newspaper, cardboard, and soft cover books for recycling. Tell your family and friends. The bins are located in the lower parking area off of Fountain Hills Blvd.
WOW FOR KIDS!
Wednesdays, 5:00-6:30 pm, Fellowship Hall
Returning Wednesday, January 16
We offer our Word on Wednesday program for children ages 3 years through 8th grade! The kids have an awesome time singing songs, eating dinner together, learning Bible stories, creating crafts, and just plain having fun. So kids, grab your friends and come have fun experiencing God's love through friendships. There is no cost for this program. 
CRAZY FINGERS RETURNS
January 11, 7:30 pm
Shepherd of the Hill is bringing back pianist-comedian Gordy "Crazy Fingers" Lindquist. Gordy, sometimes called North Dakota's version of Victor Borge, has performed all over the world with many well-known personalities. His show, called "Tickling the Ivory," will be enjoyed by all ages. Tickets are free and available in the church office or at the door.  A free-will donation will be taken after the show. Refreshments will be served following the performance. All proceeds from the show support college scholarships  awarded to deserving high school graduations attending college in the fall.

FOOD DRIVE
EXTENDED HANDS FOOD BANK
Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills supports over 1,000 men, women and children in our town. They are in need of items such as soups, peanut butter, jelly, vegetables, spaghetti, tuna, main dish meals, etc. We need your help...please bring your items on Sunday to the Narthex or during the week to the church office. 
2nd SUNDAY SOCIAL
Sunday, January 13, 4:30 pm
“Second Social" is a time of fellowship for our church family and friends of SOTH.  You don’t need to sign up, just bring an appetizer or desert to share, beverages will be provided by the hosts. We will meet at a different home each month.

PRAYER CARDS are available in the pew backs. You may place your prayer requests in the prayer boxes located on the Usher's table, in the Narthex, and outside in the prayer box on the circle drive.
