As Pastor Jeff continues to get to know the church and all of you, he invites you to join him as he continues his series this Sunday. These classes are an interactive learning experience for him and you on what we believe as Christians, the culture of Shepherd of the Hills and ways people are engaged in Christ's mission and ways to get more engaged based on your unique talents and passions. Here are the topics for each class.

Interested in mission opportunities to serve others? Interested in joining Shepherd of the Hills? This series of classes will give you an overview of why and how you can make a difference in peoples lives. This class will also be a great overview for those new members. Everyone that calls SOTH their church home is encouraged to attend.

Incoming 6th-8th Grade

Each morning you will receive an email which includes an opening prayer, daily Bible reading, closing prayer and digging deeper section, all accompanied by beautiful pictures and artwork what tie the reading together in a very meaningful way. Nancy Spahr, RN, ECSI, CPR Instructor will be teaching CPR classes over the next few months. Additional classes will be held on April 27 . Everyone is encouraged to attend. Contact Nancy Spahr to register.
Wednesdays, 5:00-6:30 pm, Fellowship Hall
We offer our Word on Wednesday program for children ages 3 years through 8th grade! The kids have an awesome time singing songs, eating dinner together, learning Bible stories, creating crafts, and just plain having fun. So kids, grab your friends and come have fun experiencing God's love through friendships. There is no cost for this program. 
Saturday, May 4, 9:00 am - 12 Noon

The BLAST program is exciting and interactive, providing extensive training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. The class is led by Nancy Spahr, Ed.D, MS, RN.
The BLAST program can prepare youth to interview for a babysitting job, select safe and suitable games and activities, prevent accidents, perform first aid, and begin babysitting safely and completely. 
There is no charge for the class. Please confirm your son/daughter for the class. Email julia@sothaz.com

Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills supports over 1,000 men, women and children in our town. They are in need of items such as soups, peanut butter, jelly, vegetables, spaghetti, tuna, main dish meals, etc. We need your help...please bring your items on Sunday to the Narthex or during the week to the church office. 
We are in need of people to work the PowerPoint slides for service at 10:30 am. If you are interested in finding out what is involved in this ministry, please email Julia@sothaz.com
Maundy Thursday worship service with communion at 7:00 pm on April 18.

Good Friday services will be at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm on April 19.

Easter worship with communion will be at 8:00 and 10:30 am on April 21 . Join us for an Easter Egg hunt immediately following the 10:30 am service .

Community Sunrise Service at the Fountain Park will be at 6:00 am.

 Pray for our church, specific people's needs, the Fountain Hills community, our country and world.

PRAYER CARDS are available in the pew backs. You may place your prayer requests in the prayer boxes located on the Usher's table, in the Narthex, and outside in the prayer box on the circle drive.
Bring your newspaper, cardboard, and soft cover books for recycling. Tell your family and friends. The bins are located in the lower parking area off of Fountain Hills Blvd.
July 14 - July 19
Incoming 3rd - 5th Grade
Shepherd of the Hills is offering Summer Camp for Kids at Camp Aloma in Prescott, Arizona this summer.

Camp activities include sports, archery, crafts, Bible encounters, great food, campouts and night activities. Plus, the older kids go canoeing.  

There is roundtrip bus transportation which picks up/drops off in North Phoenix, or you may drop and pick up your campers as well. For more information or to register email Julia@sothaz.com.
Deadline April 15, 2019
Fountain Hills Women's Club has funds available for scholarship grants for women. The applicant must be a woman who resides or is employed in Fountain Hills and who possesses a high school diploma or equivalent. She must be at least 23 years of age and should desire to further her career goals through the pursuit of additional education. The Club sponsors a fashion show each Spring to help fund the scholarship. Many community businesses donate to this fundraiser. This is an excellent opportunity for women to re-enter the work force or to advance themselves by continuing education. If you have received this scholarship in the past, you are welcome to reapply. Applications are available in the church office and must be received by April 15, 2019.

The Voices of Vienna return for the fourth year with a concert of song, Viennese Operetta and Opera all about Spring. Enjoy the lilting music of Johann Strauss, Lehar, Kalman, Mozart and join in singing tunes from "The Sound of Music." A reception in the Fellowship Hall with Viennese desserts follows the program hosted by the Austrian Society of Arizona. Donations will be dedicated to the SOTH scholarship fund. Come, bring a friend, and plan to enjoy an evening of exceptional music and talent.
