Halton Black History Awareness Society: Emancipation Art Exhibition 

On view until August 31

For this year's eighth annual Emancipation Art Exhibition, artists were invited to submit works reflecting the experiences of Black Canadian artists in our community. This exhibition celebrates the voices and artistic expressions of African diasporic artists. Highlighting the richness of Black identity, history, and culture through a diverse range of artistic media.


Come out for the opening exhibition reception on Saturday, July 19, 3 to 5 p.m.



During this event, selected artists will be recognized with awards for works that best reflect and articulate the Black experience.

Experience the creativity of local artists as they tackle the challenge of working within a 12” x 12” format in this unique exhibition. Discover a diverse range of artworks, all of which are available for purchase at the set price of $226 (including HST). This exhibition is organized in association with the Credit Valley Artisans.

Brianna’s Beading:

Discover the incredible talent of Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation artist Brianna Laforme as she showcases a selection of her beading. Many of the pieces are available for purchase. William Band: Watercolours

William Band is a talented artist known for his technical watercolour paintings. After a successful career in commercial art, he returned to his passion for painting, creating stunning works that capture the beauty of his various subjects. Many of the pieces on display are for sale.

Call for Artists of Halton Hills: Art for the Birds

Halton Hills and MCFN Artists are invited to submit their work for the second bi-annual Art for the Birds exhibition celebrating the rich diversity of birdlife in our region. This year’s show coincides with Round 2 of voting for the Town of Halton Hills' official bird and will spotlight the 3 finalists — Eastern Screech Owl, Great Blue Heron, Northern Cardinal, as voted for by the community.

Kindred Spirits: The Lucy Maud Montgomery Legacy as Interpreted by Contemporary Book Artists

Kindred Spirits is a touring book arts exhibition responding to the work and life of Lucy Maud Montgomery. The pieces were created by members of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild (CBBAG) to acknowledge the legacy of Lucy Maud Montgomery during the 150th anniversary of her birth.  


All are welcome to come to the opening reception on Sunday, August 10, 2 - 4 p.m.
